It’s simple to consign your dress!
Step 1: Qualify Your Dress
3 years old or newer?
Dry cleaned? (unless new with tags)
In ready-to-wear condition? (no damage or stains)
White, ivory, champagne or a very neutral/pale color?
*New bridal accessories also considered with dress consignments
Unfortunately, we are unable to consign most custom wedding gowns, gowns ordered online (eg: Azazie, JJ’s House, TB Dress, Light In The Box) and gowns hemmed under 5’4″. Please understand that bridal styles change constantly, and while a gown may meet our criteria, it might not be something we can resell.
Step 2:Submit the Inquiry Form
If your dress meets our criteria, fill out the Dress Inquiry Form below to submit your dress for consideration. If you also have bridal accessories for us to consider along with your dress, fill out the Accessory Inquiry Form. Be sure to review the Terms and Conditions to expedite the consignment process and minimize paperwork. We will contact you to confirm whether we are able to accept your dress or not. If we do, we will contact you to set a price and timeframe.
During our correspondence, we will give you honest advice on how much we think your dress is likely to sell for. The year, size, style, condition and retail price are all factored into the agreed upon price. We will start by providing a price range and once it arrives and is thoroughly inspected, we will confirm a Listed Price. Once-worn and sample wedding dresses are usually priced at around 50% off retail. New, current styles in perfect condition are priced higher.
Step 3: Ship Your Dress
Once we finalize pricing and timeframe details, you will be instructed to ship your dress and the provided Shipping Form to the Blue Sky Bridal location that accepted your dress. As soon as we receive your dress, we will thoroughly inspect your dress, confirm an exact initial Listing Price and provide a copy of the consignment contract.
All shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the consignor. To keep shipping costs low, we recommend packing your dress in the smallest box possible. Please remove your dress from any preservation box and include the completed Shipping Form in the box provided by Blue Sky Bridal.
Step 4:Get Paid!
Once your dress sells, you will receive payment for 50% of the final price. Checks are processed and issued around the 15th the following month of the sale. Out-of-area consignors will receive their checks in the mail, unless other arrangements have been made.
While we find homes for most of our gowns, if we reach the end of the contract (usually 6 months) and haven’t found it a home yet, we will contact you to extend the contract or make arrangements to return it to you. You will be responsible to pay for the shipping costs back to you. If you choose to donate your dress, we’ll take care of the donation process on your behalf at no cost.
